From the students walking in wearing fun themed outfits to cheering loudly, the student section helps create a lively atmosphere that brings everyone closer.
During the school’s football game at Runkle Field, the student section showed lots of school spirit with cheers, chants, and support that brought everyone together.
“Everyone arrives at the field dressed in their themed outfits, ready to enjoy the game and hang out with friends,” senior Ashlie Kropidlowski said. “It makes me feel connected to the school community by coming together in the student section and celebrating all the good plays. Sharing the excitement with my grade and all my friends makes memories for the future”.
The Senior tailgate starts at 6:00 P.M., and the game starts at 7:00 P.M., with an ending time around 9:00 P.M. Upon entering the gate, a student ticket is $3, and an adult ticket is $5, with an additional $1 charge on both for online purchases.
“Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors head home, while our seniors gather at 6 P.M. for a tailgate before the game,” senior Elijah Curtis said. “Dressing up in themed attire helps build school pride, energize the crowd, and create memorable moments that bring our school community together. The excitement during the game lasts way longer after the game”.
The away game themes are Jersey’s, Pajamas, White Lies, and Blackout, while the home game themes are Hawaiian, Wild West, Neon, Falcon Out, and USA.
“It makes the team motivated and fuels our confidence for every play that comes next,” senior John Johnson said. “Hearing the student section chant inspires us to play harder, and it feels like we are playing for them. Their support gives us an extra boost of energy and determination on the field”.
After the game ends and the scoreboard is settled, everyone comes together to celebrate, just like they did during the game. The energy and school spirit from the student section helps bring students closer as a community, making Friday nights at Runkle Field memorable to many.
