Going from losers in one season, to the NBA Playoffs in the next. In the 2024-25 NBA season, the Detroit Pistons more than tripled their score from last season.
“The Pistons were so bad this year, I thought it was over for us,” 2025 graduate Michael Orlowski said. “But this season turned it around so much.” Last year, the team had their worst season with their fewest wins in franchise history. However, the Pistons switched up their luck and made it to the Playoffs this year.
“Our score last season was terrible, we were losing like every game,” senior Hadi Moses said. “This season though, I’ve been so excited watching us win over half the games.” The team pulled off a turnaround by multiplying their score from last year by three, going from 14-68 in 2023-24, to 44-38 in 2024-25. The Pistons are the first NBA team to triple the wins from the previous season.
“I used to be disappointed in our team, but I didn’t give up on them,” 2025 graduate Amare Davis said. “And I knew they would come back, and they proved me right.”
The Detroit Pistons made it from losing to the Playoffs all in the difference of one season.
