The versatility of Arcane’s animation and characters makes it an intriguing watch. From the show’s stunning visuals to compelling themes of family and friendship, this show has everything to offer.
The animation style is one of the alluring components of this series. The artists layered 2D with 3D objects and characters, giving this installment storybook quality.
One of the few cons of this series is you’ll need more than just a quick recap to be able to follow the incredibly dense premiere episode. There aren’t any filler episodes, so missing scenes may leave you confused and lost.
If you enjoyed Arcane, check out Dragon Prince. The shows vibrant animation and themes of conflict parallel with an added element of magic. BoJack Horseman is also a good recommendation. It lacks similarity in animation, but if the characters piqued your interest BoJack Horseman explores themes of self-destructiveness, depression, addiction, etc.
