Don Toliver explores more into music with what he calls his futuristic r&b and soul album “Lovesick.”
“Lovesick” is his third album that he released in 2023. The deluxe version is considered the best album from some people’s favorite artist, Don Toliver. And the deluxe cover is changed and adds a colorful lighting vibe. It added four more songs to the eighteen song track list that has hits such as “Private Landing.”
It has features from big artists like Future, Travis Scott, and Charlie Wilson. He tries out different styles throughout the album that all sound good. Songs added to the deluxe like “No Pole” and “Embarrassed” add so much and are two of the songs considered best off the album.
The vibe to each song are so good such as No Pole being a favorite for night driving. Every song has a unique and new sound that Don has created with the album. But there aren’t as many rap songs as some usually like from his previous work like “Life of a Don” or “Heaven and Hell”. It might not be some people’s taste who don’t like his slower songs.
Don Toliver’s Lovesick album is his best work yet. The different styles, sounds, and features show it. It doesn’t have as many upbeat or fast songs, but more slower songs that are a chill vibe.
“Lovesick” is a five star album. His new popular album “Hardstone Psycho” is getting more attention than this 2023 album, but many would definitely recommend anyone to listen to the album especially if they like artists like Travis Scott or Brent Faiyaz.
