“Outer Banks Paradise on Earth,” but season 4 would suggest otherwise with its twists and turns in its active plot.
“Outer Banks” is a show about the friendship between the Pogues and their adventures in treasure hunting ultimately to solve a problem that the Cooks created for them. The new “Outer Banks” season, season 4 has a load of plot twists following the Pogues on another hunt, but this time to save their land.
The New “Outer Banks” season was very good with its mysterious and emotion provoking scenes. The TV show was more emotional than past seasons due to the love, drama, and healing between characters. Season 4 was one of the better seasons and hooked its viewers from the start.
The mystery of “Outer Banks” has always been the most captivating part of the show from 2020 until now, furthermore in season 4 the director combines mystery with relationships.
Spoiler Alert!
In the beginning episodes the viewers get to observe the Pogues losing their land, ultimately leading to their next treasure hunt. This treasure hunt will lead to the reveal of JJ’s father, hardship in friendships/ relationships, and the death of a loved character.
The director captures the emotions of its characters very well, especially as JJ reunites with his real father (another bad guy), Pope gives up his future, JJ’s friendship hardships, Rafe and Sarah’s make up, and finally, the most impactful scene: Kiara watches as JJ comes to his death.
As JJ dies in Kie’s he said, “Take care of the others…I love you Kie.” You can feel the raw emotion of the actors through this scene leaving an impact on its viewers.
The actor for Rudy Pankow announced that season 4 would be his last season at the release of the show, so the viewers expected something to happen, the director captured JJ’s character very well, showing how JJ would always risk his life to protect the Pogues. The emotion between relationships, friendships, and family was illustrated very well by the actors in all of the scenes.
However, a couple of the main characters felt like sidelined characters. Some of the stars of the show could’ve had more screen time such as Topper and Kiara. Kiara is one of the main characters, but her role seemed a little insignificant in the beginning of part two of season 4, she could’ve been utilized better by including her in more scenes with JJ since she is his girlfriend.
To continue the fans wanted to see more of Kiara’s and JJ’s relationship due to it being new in season 3. There is a huge outlook into John B, Sarah, Pope, and Cleos relationship, but JJ and Kie feel almost pushed aside until the last episode where you can clearly see their love for one another. The show would’ve been better if their romance was played upon more.
Other than that, there aren’t many complaints about this mystery, adventure, and romance show.
In summary, “Outer Banks,” is a good adventurous and romantic TV show, especially season 4 with its plot twists that provoke a lot of emotion. This can be seen through the main characters (the pogues) and the villains of the show (JJ’s father & gang). There could’ve been more screen time for some of the characters, but even considering that the show was still a success.
Viewers should go into watching season 4 knowing that they might have a few tears near the end of the season, but all in all will be kept on their toes for most of the show. To conclude, “Outer Banks” season 4 is a 4 out of 5 stars.
