The world of movies has expanded in the new year. There are more and more movies coming out in theaters all featuring critically acclaimed actors and actresses such as Zendaya, Jack Black, Timothee Chalamet, Kathryn Newton, Angelina Jolie, and more.
Lisa Frankenstein
“I really liked the movie. It was a little corny, but I guess it’s supposed to be like that since it’s based on the ’80s,” freshman Destiny Parkman said. “I really liked the end where he confessed his love to her; it was cute.”
Wonka
“I really like the story of how Wonka came to be,” freshman Lacy Ortega said. “My favorite part would have to be when the three men selling chocolate sung the sweet teeth song. It was also really funny when the police officer kept getting bigger and bigger from eating a bunch of chocolate.”
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
“I really liked the movie. I don’t have a favorite part, but it was very well put together,” freshman Aaron Arnold said. “In my opinion, it’s a lot better than the recent marvel movies.”
Mean Girls: A New Twist from Tina Fey
“‘Mean Girls’ was definitely a good movie, and it was also very funny. It was just like the original movie, but it was really a musical,” freshman Annabella Moss said. “I think it would have been better if they didn’t sing every second of the movie. I didn’t know it was a musical until I went to go see it.”
