Disney + returns to “a galaxy far, far away” for season two of the live-action Star Wars series “The Mandalorian.” Season one, released October 2019, was met with critical acclaim. It mounted a total of 15 Emmy nominations. New episodes will be every Friday starting October 30 and ending on December 18.
The show is about an armored “Mandalorian” who discovered a “child”, also known as “baby Yoda”, on a bounty mission. The “Mandalorian” is trying to get the “child” back to his home planet. However, the evil remains of the empire, led by Moff Gideon, try to capture the “child” for research purposes. Greef Carga and Cara Dune help the “Mandalorian” with the mission.
“My favorite character is probably the Mandalorian because he doesn’t talk much, he just puts in work” senior Tamin Machart said “He reminds me of Boba Fett.”
The highly anticipated season two will feature our favorite characters, but also will incorporate new ones. Several characters from “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” are expected to appear. This includes Bo-Katan Kryze, who was a former Mandalorian warrior, and Ahsoka Tano who was the padawan learner of Anakin Skywalker.
Boba Fett has also been confirmed for the new season of the show. He appeared in “Star Wars: Attack of the Clones” as a child and in “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi” where he fell into the sarlacc pit.
“I am excited for more background on baby Yoda and more fight scenes” senior Max Westerlund said.
The Skywalker saga of movies may be over, but fans won’t be missing any lightsaber duels or rescue missions. Disney + will be the home for new Star Wars content for many years to come. Season two of “The Mandalorian” is just the beginning.
